In my opinion, and your intended use and the differing terrains you will encounter .....a SERIES drive cart, which is what you have, is the ticket you want and need.

Just ordered a SR48500 from ScottyB.

I'll order the remainder of the 48V upgrade parts next month and then I'll likely wait until spring to get the new batteries. I don't want to have a brand new set of batteries sitting outside through the winter.

Shoot, I just noticed that my current wiring has 12V coming from two batteries. I think I would prefer the 48V -> 12V converter so I need to add that to my list of things to order.

You could just sell me your cart and save me the trouble of building one exactly like it. :)

Is there some way to identify the lift that I have? I'd almost like to keep the big wheels/tires and lower it a little closer to stock.

Busted a tire tonight so trying to decide how to fix that. I could just replace the one tire. Or I could go ahead and switch to on-road tires that are a little smaller.
