Re: Solenoid resistor...need or not ?
Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. Im so glad I saved those two pieces, usually I'd toss stuff like that out in a cleanup routine..but something made me throw those into the tool box junk drawer

Re: Solenoid resistor...need or not ?
I had the same problems after my conversion. I had a wire on the controler on wrong double check that wiring. I was having major problems with irratic stopping until I put the resistor and diode on. soleoid was sticking

Re: Solenoid resistor...need or not ?
Okay, so I have a few things to ask.
First, I wasn't able to charge the batteries in my neighbors 48v CC. Figured out it was 8.5 total volts of the bank... Jumped the charger wires and got them above 35v and now with everything back together, plug the charger in and it charges fine. Issue is that the cart won't move. I tried the OBC reset to no avail... 5Mins, 10 mins, 45 mins... Nothing worked. Resistor on solenoid stays super hot. It;s bee replaced once. BUT It says 250 Ohms. Aren't the 48v supposed to have a 500ohm resistor? Also, I'm trying to figure out how to jump the OBC to see if this thing will even move. Is this the best way to test to see if the OBC is bad? Thanks. Andrew C. |

And it is best to start a new thread so it is about you and your cart for future reference. |
