Help with tire choice
I've been doing some searching and not having much luck.. at least not with finding pictures.
I'm wanting to replace my stock tires on my stock wheels (no lift) on my 97 Club Car DS 48v. The current size is 18x8.5-8 and I'm wanting to replace with some knobby tires, but didn't know what they would look like, and where the best/cheapest place to get them would be. Didn't want to get some and them be slightly too large and rub or just not work... OR, if I am able to bump the size up a bit without having to lift. Bonus points for anyone with pictures or site links. Thanks! |

Re: Help with tire choice
Go here: http://www.mud-throwers.com/atv_tires_by_size and the first row will give you something close to what you need. 18x7-8, 18x8-8 and 18x9-8
I hope this helps. |

Re: Help with tire choice
Thanks.. any idea if a 18x9.5-8 would fit on my all stock setup? Keeping same wheels, but wasn't sure if the added 1 inch on tire size would be enough to cause issues.
Wanting a tire and wheel setup similar to the ones I found online here... http://picclick.ca/Club-Car-Preceden...915824127.html |

Re: Help with tire choice
I dunno. But if you look at these http://www.mud-throwers.com/inc/sdetail/74642/20344 they are 18x8-8 which is .5" smaller than what you currently have. It would seem to me that these would fit without any issues. You may lose a little in speed, but pick up a little in torque. But....it's your decision.

Re: Help with tire choice
I just ordered a set of knobby 18x9.5-8 tires from Chapparal Motorsports Ebay store.. Hopefully they will fit clearance wise without needing any kind of lift.
Here is what I ordered: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331920069608 |
