Help identifying old EZGO 36v cart - no s/n plate
I'm working on several carts for the horse rescue group I volunteer for, and need help identifying one of them.
I have searched for the manufacturers id plate but have not found one. It is a 36v EZGO with what appears to be a pre-PDS controller. Also has the F/R switch below the seat. Attaching pics. |

Re: Help identifying old EZGO 36v cart - no s/n plate
This industrial Ezgo has or had an ID plate. See red circle in pic below.
It is basically just a bigger Late 1980s or Early 1990s Marathon. The last 2 digits of the manufacture code is the yr it was made. |

Thanks for the quick response (again).
Would there be any other areas that might have an ID tag or S/N ? As you pointed out, the one in the pic is missing. |

That's about it from what I know. That plate missing it's going to be tough to ID 100% in terms of a year. I have that model in my bone yard or a similar one to it. Reason it's there is due to lack of parts online.

Re: Help identifying old EZGO 36v cart - no s/n plate
For the most part you won't need a number, I have one of these.
Do you know what parts you need? Do the brakes work? Does it steer? Can you test the throttle signal ? it's 0-5k I got mine for free needing motor, controller, tires, bed, like this one. And then got a newer one for $50 out of a cow pasture in similar condition. Seems people give up on these easily. They are great utility carts but suk off road or in loose footing. I have added rear weight to improve mine. You'll need batteries to test the controller, solenoid, motor. We made our old one 48v 400a and added front brakes, rears slide on hills, again due to no weight back there. The new one is 2002 same 48v but 10 hp torque motor and 500a control. Fun to drive sitting on the wheels. |

Here's a service manual for the later models with a electronic speed controller.
