I'm not expert but when I replaced my speed control my batteries were a little low so it would buck when you hit the throttle quickly, until I charged up the batteries all of the way.

The new control would pull more power and hit the low limit cut off.

It's a shot in the dark but are your batteries fully charged and in good Condition?

The new Curtis 1205m-5603 that I put in is programmable for the voltage and throttle type and a bunch of other things!
I looked at a pic of your control ant it has the program plug, look it up, if so most golf cart shops should have the box to program everything and switch the throttle input to what you need.
Just Google it .
