Default Charging Receptacle

While inspecting the charging receptacle...

There is a black and white wire running from the pack into the back of the charging Receptacle.

I noticed the black wire looks like the insulation around the wire has been somewhat crushed were it enters the Receptacle and seeing a little exposed wire.

Is this a repairable job to just cut the wire and put on new ring terminal? This is assuming there is enough wire to do this.

Or some other wire insulation repair that would be workable...

Can't imagine spending the cost for an entire charge Receptacle because of a single wire...

Can you purchase parts for the charging receptacle...Such as just the wires and female radsok?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Just be careful opening that receptacle box. Make sure to unhook the cables at the battery first. If you don't and they accidentally touch each other it will be on! Fast!

Thanks for the warning.

I did open that box last time without unhooking from pack. After I did it...I was thinking that was pretty stupid.

Fortunately I did not have a problem, but will not attempt to do that again.

I speak from experience. I did it once thinking there is no way they would touch, and when they did it welded together. Thankfully it burnt something into before the whole cart burnt up.

I remember opening that box and thought those 2 connectors are within a inch or two of being a disaster.

Are the radsok held in place to the box with a screw or do they just lay in there and held in place by the box itself?

Held in place by the box. Same as male radsoks in charger plug.

They are allowed to "Float" around slightly so precise alignment isn't necessary when plugging in charger.

What gauge wire is used for the plus and minus on the Receptacle?
