Do I need shocks with heavy leaf springs?
I'm installing extended shackles on my club car ds. My understanding is that longer shackles would require lengthening the shocks (or replacing). Ive seen other videos and posts mention that with heavy leaf springs the shocks can be removed. Could anyone please advise?
Thanks |

Some say yes, some say no. Try it without. It won't hurt anything. They're about ride quality and you're the final judge.

Re: Do I need shocks with heavy leaf springs?
Thanks. With heavy springs, do they even come into affect? I'm glad to replace them, because I'd rather do it now while I have the body off. I'm just not sure how to calculate length now that I extended the shackles (and anything else I might need to know before purchasing).

Piston rod extensions are available so you can reuse the old shocks ( if desired later). They are easy to replace with the body on.
