every time i ever had f/r failure i lost only one side of it and 2 out of 3 times it was reverse that failed

I finally found it. F&r was melted on the contacts on the rotation cam part.

Glad you found it
yes those (brass) plugs melt right into that cam block and dont make connection. like i said earlier my did 3 times before i found a beefy HD switch. |

ScottyB sell a HD F/R switch...plus you can eliminate the switch and go to a F/R solenoid as an option...
