Which color wires did You intercept for the rear lights?
If You apply power to the brake/turn-signal (brighter) segment, some LED bulbs will back feed power to the headlight circuit. |

Not looking at it right now but I believe it was the brown wire.

All is well in the world now.
It was the cheap 3 way switch leaking a small amount of current. I went ahead and went back to the one way switch. Until I find a better one we will have to skip the parking lights. Was wanting this so say at a campground if we stop to talk to someone, I could kill the headlights but still have the parking and tail lights on so we can be seen. Did get the relay mounted, but mounted it to the dash. Turns out there is a perfect spot for it already there next to the buzzer. Flipped the buzzer around and the relay mounted on its little pad perfectly, even the screw holes lined up. |
