My 2014 Prec is doing 27.5 on stock tires at a safe 6200 rpm with the moderately priced FSIP A3 and a 300 amp (or bigger) XCT controller.

Ok I dialed it down to 6000 rpms but I'm still getting 22-23 mph with 23" tires.

Seem about right?

Nope. Like I said before, my setup (in signature below) got me 27.5 a couple times on GPS at 6000RPM. I backed it down to 5500 to keep it at 25 and not push the motor. The tire size calculates out to 18.25 and this calculator says 27.5 right at 6000. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/speed-calculator.php

With all due respect to everyone here, I'm not sure why anyone is recommending a different motor to get you into the mid to upper 20's.
Here is my Alltrax map that works really well.

BTW, do you have the right motor map for yours or is it generic?

It's interesting to see that according to the manufacturer, 6200 RPM's will void the warranty.

Perhaps that explains why their testing reflects 25 MPH.

I didn't, I know better....

(But in all seriousness, I belief everyone was giving him that option as he asked for a motor type earlier in his thread. We all get caught up in answering the question as opposed to giving the needed direction)

Sergio is right. The Assassin is a series motor. It won't work on a Precedent unless you convert it to a series drive system. I can help with that if you need guidance.

Hey guys I just put in a Plum Quick Executioner motor and I'm getting way less speed and the cart keeps surging while holding the same throttle position. Any ideas?

Can some one share their settings with a XCT and the executioner?

The surging might be MCOR related. You can try the temporary "cleaning" by turning off the cart and pumping the pedal fully 30 or so times. This might help a little.

I asked earlier, are you using a generic motor map or one for the executioner?
