20amp fuse blowing on the 48-12volt coverter
I have a 2010 Club Car Villager LSV and the blue wire with the 20amp fuse coming off the solenoid going into my 48-12 D.C.-D.C. Coverter blows everytime. Even when the key is in the off position. I've unplugged a few wires that are coming off the D.C.-D.C. Converter to see if that was the problem and it does the same thing. Only one I haven't done is the white wire that I believe goes to the ignition. Any ideas what could be my issue?

What brand of converter? First one I installed decided to take up smoking the first time I fed it power and that was without anything connected to the output. I assume you are using the battery side post of the solenoid for 48v. Clean install and no little wires to corrode around the battery terminals.

Re: 20amp fuse blowing on the 48-12volt coverter
I just bought this cart less than 48hrs ago and the previous owner just had a controller put on and then got it back and then all the 12v ( headlights, speedometer, etc.) and stopped working. So he said it's time to sell.
So the fused wire that was previously connected to the batter side of the sylenode need to be put where? I'm new as new can get to this. |

Make sure 48v ground wire coming from converter is going to B- on controller. Sounds like they mis wired when they changed controller.

I'm with Crash on this. Some people hook it to battery + side at solenoid so they don't have the wire going to the pack.
BTW Crash photo not there. |

Re: 20amp fuse blowing on the 48-12volt coverter
Your positive going to solenoid is ok and not part of the problem.
If everything was working like it should before the controller change, then it is only logical that that have wired the convertor to the controller wrong. Most isolated converters have 5 wires 48+, 48-, 12+,12- and key wire. What is your 48- connected to? |

Re: 20amp fuse blowing on the 48-12volt coverter
Blue = +48/36v which has the fuse that's blowing attached to the seilnoid.
Yellow= 48/36 V Gnd White= Enable +48/36v All those are the inputs Outputs: Red: 12V Black 12vGmd |

They said when they got the Cart back they where driving it for a while and all of a sudden everything went out. The cart still operates just not the options.
