It may be possible the converter is shorted internally. I have had to replace 2 of them. A guy named Al Murray at BST Equipment in Dunn, NC told me they only last about 7 years. I had the same issue. The fuse would blow no matter the key position or anything else. As soon as I tried to complete the circuit, the fuse blew.

Could the the Curtis Controller affect the type of converter I have where it I'll not make it work?

You can use any 48 to 12 converter.
20 amp converter would be ok, but 30 amps would be better for future upgrades . Just make sure you get a 5 wire converter for ease of replacement. |
