Default Decisions to make on a 98 Powerdrive 2

Bought as a project. Partially disassembled. No charger, no 8v batteries, but came with 8 6v's that might actually be good.

No idea if the controller is good. Haven't tested the motor yet.

Here's where I'm at. I normally buy some derelicts to put back on the road as a hobby, and I like to dress them up a little. Paint, wheels, etc...

Unfortunately, I had a change in work, so the extra liquid funds aren't there like usual.

Would you guys take the chance on the electronics, buy batteries and a charger and cross your fingers? Or flip it as-is and pretty much get out of it?

The seasons up here change in a couple of months, so jetski and cart sales dip until spring pretty hard.

Any opinions?

The 8 x 6 volts still = 48. I'd try charging those (2 at a time on a 12 volt car charger) then see if it runs. Base your ultimate decision on what you find from that.
