You can fix that with an old style lead lug with a stud on it. Remove that red protector and place it over the large lead post and keep rolling.

This is how I did my shunt. [shunt is mounted on a solid block that is bolted to body of cart.]

But replace the wing nut with a hex nut and torque it down to the right level.
