Re: Club car 48volt won't move
Golf cart dealer next to my work has a 400 amp solenoid and a diode, I am picking it up after work. Then I will install it. Hopefully that is it. The OBC sounds pricey

Now when we talk about the diode, the band side goes with the positive activation wire... what is the positive activation wire? |

Re: Club car 48volt won't move
On the main solenoid the positive wire is the Blue .
The blue/white stripe wire that goes to the controller is the negative wire. Refer to crash's diagram on post #13. |

Re: Club car 48volt won't move
Ok I got a new solenoid that has the diode built into the stripe wire that goes to the controller need to go on the opposite side of the stripe of the diode? Or. Use versa? Thanks

New solenoid is wired in the blue was the activation wire that went on the side of the stripe on the diode, well nothing.... I have 49 volts on the positive side and 0 when you engage the pedal

Re: Club car 48volt won't move
Most likely the OBC cannot provide the current to run the cart logic, do the by-pass I described on post #20.

Re: Club car 48volt won't move
Thank you Sergio, I also found that I don't have any continuity going from the keyswitch to the solenoids, I will update

Re: Club car 48volt won't move
There should be no continuity as the Solenoid is powered by the OBC.
If You look at the diagram, the key switch only powers the Pedal micro-switch which then sends the signal to the controller pin #3. |

Re: Club car 48volt won't move
yes thats my fault, i jumped the gun and didnt follow the wires, i did the test you told me, I cut the blue wire about an inch from the OBC and shaved the white wire down, i taped the side coming off the OBC and tied the blue in with the white that goes into the 6 pin connector, well I can now put my golf cart in reverse and here the back up alarm. but still no movement forward or backwards.

Re: Club car 48volt won't move
Are you now getting steady +48v on the solenoid positive small post?
Do You get 48v between the solenoid small posts when the pedal is pressed? What is the story on this cart as far as when it stopped working? |
