Problems with 48v IQ club car
Hello again. Another question –
I have a 48 V club car DS (IQ, Regen) I picked up last night for cheap, and it hadn’t run in years. I bought brand new batteries for it, charged it up, and it ran fine. I used it for a little while this afternoon, washed it off with my hose, and then used it for another 20 minutes or so. I went in the house for dinner, came outside after dinner, and it is behaving very weirdly now. If I put it in reverse, about every three seconds the buzzer will sound for about a second. If I push the pedal during the short time that the buzzer is beeping, it will drive backwards for just a second and then stop. If I put it in forward, it does the same thing (drives forward), just without the buzzer. It only works if I start it during the occasional time that it’s on- about every three or four seconds- and it only lasts a second or less. When I connect the charger, it seems to charge fine. (Powerdrive 3) I’ve tried charging it, flipping the tow-run switch, and checking battery connections. What could the problem be? Thanks in advance Luke Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Water, use a leaf blower and let it dry.

Re: Problems with 48v IQ club car
Sounds like an MCOR issue, but the fact that it started when you washed it may indicate a wet F&R switch. Pop the switch out of the housing and take the wires off of it. Look at the base of the switch and you'll see a tab on each side to take the switch apart. Open it up and dry it out and put it back together. See if it works. If you're still having issues, unplug the 2 pin connector from the MCOR and jump the connector out with a paperclip or a piece of wire. If it runs with the jumper in place, replace the MCOR. This is a sign of an intermittent micro switch in the mcor.

Re: Problems with 48v IQ club car
Thank you. I’ll try those things tomorrow if it doesn’t “dry up” overnight.

Would a bad MCOR make the reverse buzzer cut on and off though? I thought it was a controller or OBC issue at first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
