HPD, Main Drop Out, Low Battery Voltage
2005 Club Car DS IQ came in with symptoms of a bad solenoid. We changed the solenoid to later find the controller was also bad. The Key Switch, For/Rev, Tow/Run and MCOR appeared ok. I've tried (3) different solenoids thinking I had a bad batch or something. I finally checked the motor and it appeared ok but I changed it also to eliminate the possibility. At the advice of a friend we changed the Solenoid and Controller at the same time. The cart ran fine on the jack stands. I pulled it down to take a test drive. About 10 feet into my ride I dropped out. Checked codes and got a HPD, Main Drop Out and Low Battery Voltage. I cleared the codes and tried again to get no HPD this time but still Main Drop Out and Low Battery Voltage. FYI- The pack voltage is 49.5 volts and the solenoid has no diode or resistor in place. What am I missing?

Check battery voltage under load. They might be shot.

Re: HPD, Main Drop Out, Low Battery Voltage
I put the discharge box on the cart and tested each battery under a load and got a consistent 7.9 across the pack. Any other ideas? Thank you in advance.

Re: HPD, Main Drop Out, Low Battery Voltage
Having a hard time finding info on it right now (on phone) but there was a repair harness for the IQ carts to fix an issue with voltage drop in the main harness. Check with Dave at Revolution (Tahoedawg here) he should know about it, pretty sure he’s the one I saw mention it in a post.

Re: HPD, Main Drop Out, Low Battery Voltage
That's dead to the rights what occurs when there is a main drop out issue. But he will be able to solidify the thought or have another idea....
