Which charger? DPI Gen IV/Lester Summit II/Eagle
I'm getting ready to order a new charger and bypass my OBC. My question is which charger should I go with? Is there one that stands out above all the others? I'm currently looking at the DPI Gen IV, Lester Summit Series II and the Eagle Performance. I am not set on one of these if there is a better option but these seem to be the top ones.
For reference this will be for a CC DS 48v 6-8v configuration w/ Crown CR-150 batteries. |

The "Lester Summit Series II" is by far the best of the ones You mentioned and DPI second.

The Delta Q's are the top of the line as they are a HF charger with a 91% efficiency rating... Summit Lester II's are on the same format if I remember Sergio or someone mentioning before and you can download and use the ChargerConnect app. They are both On-Board or Off capable. The DPI is a top line transformer type charger and 2nd choice so you have good choices with all of them.

There has been some hints about customer service issues at DPI lately. Mostly reported in the EZGO section.
I have a Lester Links model. My particular one was recalled but Lester people were great to deal with. Quick, easy fix. If I was going to buy one today it would be the Lester. IMO |

Big advantage with the summit II is the Bluetooth capability. If you have any interest in charge data or battery condition diagnostics that’s the better option of the ones you’ve listed imo. A DeltaQ IC series would be my next choice.

I have a DPI Gen IV Accusense. So far so good - although the previous model had a float mode and the latest has a maintenance mode which some have said was a step backwards...

Thanks for the feedback everyone. My first choice was the Lester Summit II and it appears that is the best choice.
