Will cart run without charger receptacle

Will a 48v ezgo txt run if the entire charging port/wiring is not connected.

Nope, not unless the charger interlock has been bypassed to make the controller think everything's ok.

Or - it will if it is a 2003 or newer with the ignition power coming directly from the battery pack Main + instead of the older charge receptacle tap

If it's a 48v with the delta-q charge port (triangle), it won't run without charge port, no power to blue wire (Rxv), orange wire (txt 48v). Question directly referred to 48v, so I sort of assumed Rxv or 48v txt/tct. The older 48v "specialty vehicles" fall into the category ScottyB speaks of.
