Default No signal to RXV brake light relay?

2014 RXV with Curtis. I wired up a relay to the red and purple wires under the cup holder as shown here in another thread. No brake lights came on. I checked the wires with a meter and there is no signal coming from them to activate the relay. The relay works and the lights come on if I apply 12 48 volts manually.
I recently had Bob tweak my controller. Is the brake light signal something that can be turned on and off in the programming?

Yes it is. It is normally on by default, so I do not usually check for it to be disabled. I'll get my laptop out of the car later and check your before/after files to see what it is set for. It is possible that the relay you bought has a lower impedance than the brake light output PWM is set for.

Thanks Bob. I suspect it is off because Im not getting any signal on my meter. I ordered a cheap pull switch to put on the pedal for now but as you know, I don't use the pedal much. Ill probably wait for your next road trip this way if it needs reprogramming.

Problem solved. Took the dash apart to install turn signals and found an inline fuse in the signal wires to the relay that was blown. The relay was on the cart when I got it. Was being used to turn on and off a gps unit. Somehow I put the fuse in when I re-purposed the relay. Fuse holder removed = brake lights working. Turn signals and horn all working now.
On to the rear Diff oil change (:
Thanks for looking into it Bob.

Now you tell me... LOL

I checked your controller settings and you now know, it was enabled. Pull-in is set to 50% and hold-in 40%.

I'm glad you figured it out.
