Engine brake???
So my 2008 or 9 RXV has been a good cart until last week. It now seems as if the electric brake is stuck on. It will move forward and backward but feels like a parking brake is on in a car. A year ago I replaced the electric brake and has been ok to this point. Here's what I've checked so far:
1) checked voltage at brake plug and foot on gas pedal 49+ volts 2) checked ohms at brake motor terminals 24.8 ohms 3) battery voltage 49.8 volts 4) flipped tow switch on, was able to roll the cart* 5) tried cycling the switch on/off several times but didn't change 6) checked the jumped plug and wiring under cup holder, no issues 7) tried pulling up the gas pedal, no difference checked solenoid per what I read by taking 2 big POS. cables off solenoid and checked ohms across with key off. Says it should be 0. It wasn't but it seems like it wouldn't be 0 unless the key was on, my thinking?? Any ideas? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Re: Engine brake???
If your cart moves but only very slow I would guess it's the motor encoder bearing.
