94/95 club car DS

I'm working on a club car ds that a lady took a garden hose and tried to clean the batteries. After the cart quit running.
I put a new F&R switch in and tried to clean up the v-glide. The cart was running great. now its running interment.

Would I be correct to think that the v-glide should have been replaced?

The cart has a alltrax NPX 4834 0-5k controller and a set of brand new batteries with a DPI charger plus a new charger receptacle.

Is there an upgrade to the v-glide that will work on this cart?
