Default PDS TXT 'Limp Mode'

I have TXT PDS that started going into what I will call 'limp mode' this weekend and I'm looking for input on what tests I can run tomorrow afternoon to get parts on order to correct the situation.

The cart ran fine, we stopped for a while and when we took off, it would only move at a very slow speed in forward. I stopped the cart and flipped the FR switch from forward to reverse and it acceleration was back to normal. Today we got on the cart (had not run overnight and had been on the charger) and it did the same thing (running very slowly) when I went from reverse to forward. The FR switch flip trick worked again. I'm leaning to the solenoid going bad?

I plan on putting the controller into diagnostic mode and seeing what codes it may give me. Any other ideas?

Not the solenoid as a "first solution". while the solenoid may be trash (that's totally plausable), dont buy one just yet. Listen to what the controller has to say. The big sticker had the fault codes written on it. Please at least look that up first.

Put the cart in diagnostic mode this afternoon and got a 2-1 code which is for low battery voltage. The batteries are around 5-6 years old (would have to check receipts to verify). I checked them a few months ago and they all tested good on a load tester. Any ideas?
