Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
I was very pleased with my PDS cart when I upgrade to the DCX400 and 4 ga. cables.
I got mine from these guys due to my budget. http://www.evdrives.com/ I bought what was listed as a refurbished DCX400 and it only had a 90 day warranty compared to 2 years on a new one. Carl at the seller assured me the unit I got was new. The controller and a new solenoid was $315 shipping included. 12 months later, I've had no problems. |

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
Thank you kindly. It's a Fuji FinPix s5000. I agree, it does a heck of a job for it's size and cost. I also like to think the guy looking through it knows a thing or two...........but, that's just me, LOL!

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
That is true, kentk. I does nothing for adding speed. You got what you got and the freedom chip will be noticeable mainly on flat ground or downhills. I didn't notice anything on the trails. As you can see in my sig, I've added a few things since this thread started and, looking back, I see the Freedom Chip as... well, humorous. But again, if you only have flat ground to run on, then you'll definitely see a difference. It won't be enough though. You'll want more. We all do.

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
So if you were to cut the outer wire on the freedom chip it would make it a steep hill chip. what if i cut my freedom chip that i have installed and add a swicth to the outer wire so i have the offbutton it will be a steep hill and win its on it will be freedom chip. does anyone know if this will work because i do know that u have to "program" it the freedom chip into the controller.

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
Ford you can do that just flip the switch and cycle the run tow switch and then your in that mode. I use mild hill and freedom the most. The jerk you get from Steep hill kinda snaps at your neck if you drop off the throttle to fast.
