$8.50 lesson??
I had charger problems so I tested the fuse with my continuity tester and it tested bad. So, I bought a new fuse for $8.50 and installed it. Plugged up the charger and nothing. Unplugged the charger and came in to search the forum and found that I probably should have tested the diodes first!!
Went back out and tested the fuse and it is bad. Will bad diodes kill the fuse? And I checked the diods for continuity both ways and had it. Should I have continuity both ways or only one way on the diodes? |

Re: $8.50 lesson??
Should only been one way. Diodes are shot, That will smoke the fuse.

Re: $8.50 lesson??
diodes are designed to only allow current to flow one way. that's how a.c voltage is rectified into d.c voltage. something smoked them.
