700 alltrax 1/2 throtle ?

My reverse on my cart was supper weak and slow so I got to looking and noticed how the 1/2 throttle on my 700 alltrax was plugged to my miny switch on my direction control. I unplugged it and now i think my reverse has more power and speed than my forward. Has anybody done this? What is the purpose of the 1/2 throttle plug and are there any downside or potential problems or damage to my system by doing this.

Not sure what a 700 alltrax is but the half speed reverse is a safety feature, nothing will be damaged unless you run something over.

700 amp alltrax controller, does effect battery life or any other aspect of performance

I didn't know alltrax made a 700 amp controller, I know logisystems does, but there is alot that I don't know. To answer your question, no it will not affect anything except your speed in reverse.
