Default 8:1 gears ?

Would running the 8:1 gears be alright with a lift and 23" tires or would it be to much and screw something up?

In theory it might be too much load for the 400a alltrax and stock motor ... I think the 8:1 or the 23s but not both. I have not tried it.

23s are 5 inches taller but if you calculate the circumference difference....
18" = 54.54"
23 = 144.51"
That is distance traveled per revolution. You can see why 23s knock the crap out of a stock controller at near 3 times the distance traveled per revolution...... add to that the distance increase in 8:1 over 12:1 (a 33% increase) and I think there is no way on God's green earth the little 36v battery pack is gonna move the cart I could be wrong but, I doubt it.
