Default Noisy rearend

NOooo, it's not from the beans.

02 TXT looks to have quite a bit of slop in the spider gears. Has anybody done any shimming to push the gears deeper into one another (and maybe quiet things down?)... I'm thinking of a thin shim washer where the axle shaft comes in?

Thanks in advance

I think it depends on the surface, if you have a flat side to the spider gear, then there should be a shim available. Are these Dana rears on the 02? if so, they might have a part #.

This is all I could find, it looks like the only "fix" is to replace worn parts. Not too helpful if you just want to shim it out a bit.

Yes it is a Dana. I think they all have the washers in your picture.
