Default how to wire solenoid in club car

Hi.
I got a club car that had most of the wiring torn out.
With this wiring diagram

I was able to put most of it back together.
I'm not sure of the little posts on the solenoid. I can make out that one goes to the neutral switch and the other goes to the speed controller. But on the diagram there is a couple of unclear spots. If someone could answer one question I'm sure I could figure the rest out.

Are both of the small posts on the solenoid hot, or is one hot and the other ground?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks :)
John

How the Solenoid works:
The solenoid is a HD on/off switch or Contactor
the connection is made /broken between the 2 large terminals. The 2 small terminals are the activation circuit. Typically one terminal will have a constant negative connection to the pack. When Positive power is applied to the second small terminal the contact is drawn up against the spring to make contact. When power from either side of the activation circuit is removed then contact is released and the spring pushes it away interrupting the circuit ...It doesn't matter which small terminal is neg or pos on the activation circuit so long as you have both.... The solenoid is just a switch making and breaking the contact between the 2 large posts when the 2 small posts have pack voltage.
I hope this helps.

I could be wrong, but it looks like one side goes to the F/R switch, and the other side goes to the V-glide micro switch.

When you place the F/R handle in F or R, the micro switch on the F/R switch is contacted. That energizes the solenoid. That allows the V-glide to operate.

I hope that this helps!

Thanks, both of you!
I'm going to try to get it working tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be a problem.
I'll let you know how it goes.

OK, The good news.
After a week of excuses the squirrels finally got fed today!
The cart is running great, kinda.
I pulled everything out of the club car, motor and all, and put it all in the melex {My wife and I are a bit attached to the melex, we got a lot of work in it} I Got it kinda wired up and it seems to run great. I do have to replace a switch or 2 that were damaged. but it runs fast, in fact a bit too fast.
Whats the best way to slow down its low speed but not loose the high speed?
