Default Thinking about buying a 98 EZGO, needing advise

Found a 98 EXGO for trade. Trading a echo chainsaw for it that I haven't used in a few years.
No motor, no charger, no batteries, no charger receptacle, but frame, battery rack, and body appear to be good to go. Has the hard top as well.

Plans are to build it into a raised hunting rig, and thinking of converting to 48 volt since I have to buy a new charger/motor/battery set up anyhow.

Since this will be my first golf cart restore (Have lots of experience rebuilding full size jeeps though) what do I need to consider before pulling the deal on this trade?

I tried posting pics, but apparently I have to be a member for 7 days before posting links.

I'd say it's a great deal assuming the chain saw is'nt worth more than a couple hundred bucks. I had a hard time finding one with a decent frame for my project.

I can tell you, the body work can hide some serious rust problems.

If it were a Stile chainsaw...

I'd do the deal.

Well just things to consider.. Motor will probably set you back $600, batteries about the same and a controller will be say $450-$550 so roughly $16-1750 plus charger and port. If the saw is worth like 150-200 go for it. Worse case you can buy another complete one and make this a trailer..
