36 Volt EZ Go doesn't run....
I replaced the Speed Controller and solenoid less than 5 months ago on our EZ GO Model: TXTPDS DATE CODE: E2205
The batteries are less than a year old. Just started a week ago. It was running fine. From one evening to the next morning something happened. When you press accel. pedal it clicks the solenoid. I ran a diagnostics and it gave me the 3-4 code. All connections are tight on batteries as well as controller and motor. ANY HELP PLEASE??????? It's driving me batty....?thumbdown: |

Re: 36 Volt EZ Go doesn't run....
The 3-4 code is open field windings.
Pop the F1 & F2 cables off the controller and measure the continuity between them. If open, check for continuity between the F1 & F2 studs on the motor. If open, the motor is bad. If okay, one or both of the cables are bad. |

I looked up schematics online. Are F1 F2 the smaller black and white cables? Sorry, the schematics I found are terrible. One of the larger cables from Motor has A1 Label?

Ok...I put my glasses on and figured out black and white are F1/F2. Got a closed reading on cables and at studs on motor. Time to look at cables closely. Thanks a ton....

Okay so I found both cables to be rubbed badly. I replaced the Cables and I'm still getting a 3-4 Code. The A1 and 2 cables look good.

Be patient. We have a TON of expertise here, but some folks have jobs, and lives.
I'm a series guy, and you have a PDS. |
