What do you like and dislike about your Ezgo?
What do you like and dislike about your Ezgo? I'll begin by saying:
I like it that they are complex. I don't like them because they are complex. (also, I'm not too crazy about the rear hub problems) |

Actually Kelly, I like it because it's not complex (mine is a series cart) and it only cost me 150 bucks.
I dislike it because I got the bug because of it and can't seem to quit spending money on it!! |

I understand the "I got the bug" part, and the money part. I caught it with a 93 club car DS I did a year ago. Sold it, and I have missed it ever since, so I got this cart, a PDS. I am having a great time with it and looking forward to using it over the summer!

I like mine because its a series cart and not very complex. I got lucky....it just happened that way. parts are easy to find.....and readily available.
I did my research here on BGW before I started my upgrade....and because of that, I got all the right parts, form BGW sponsors, and now I have a cart that is both reliable and "HAUL THE MAIL" compared to a stock series cart. |

Re: What do you like and dislike about your Ezgo?
Everything and nothing I like them most because they do not have the aluminum strip that holds the CC cowl to the dash And because they do not have the CC on board computer. Because the PDS models use speed 'chips' and because a simple controller upgrade makes the PDS and DCS carts fly. HD hubs are a bolt on fix for the Achilles heels. (weak rear hubs) Don't get me wrong - I have a club car.

Re: What do you like and dislike about your Ezgo?
So you are 90% sane and 10% insane.
---------- I like the older EZGO carts (mostly Pre-2010 and non-RXV) because the information to maintain and repair them is, for the most part, in the public domain and the schematics and wiring diagrams available are reasonable accurate, clear and concise. I'm halfway decent at reading schematics and deciphering technical prose, but the little that can be found for other brands and later EZGO carts, appears to be intentionally written or drawn to confuse and conceal. Me buying a PDS cart was pure chance, (SWMOBO liked the nose art - so it might have been fate), but if I had to do it again, I believe I would choose the same drive system. If my needs, wants and desires were different, I would go with a Series drive. If they ever get the bugs out of the RXV design, I might even consider an AC drive, but I'll probably leave this veil of tears before that happens. I understand how Series and Sepex drive systems work, so neither is complex to me. I also understand how AC drive systems work in general, but there is no good technical information readily available for the RXV, so I won't be buying one anytime soon. |

Johnny....you need to give yourself ALOT more credit.
I like mine because it was only $1k & was "all there", was everything the seller indicated. Now that it's painted, has new wheels/tires, basically "customized". I'm proud of it. |

Re: What do you like and dislike about your Ezgo?
I like ours because of the way it looks, the functionality, and being able to work on it. Have not found any real dislikes in a year now since purchasing it.
