Default batterys sitting around 1 year at 2.74v

I have a old set of batteries that are about 2 years old that where used about 6 months when I cam across a deal on some Trojans I switched them out

they are at 2.74 volts and been sitting a year or so no name brand from orielys auto parts are they worth saving do you think there ok a friend was asking about them

Probably boat anchors, but you can never tell.
If the electrolyte isn't frozen, put them on charge and see what happens.

If you don't have a 6V charger, connect two of them in series and use a 12V charger.

Let them charge until the on-charge voltage is about 7.5V (or 13.0V if two in series, and then let them rest for about 6-12 hours and check the voltage.
If they are good, they'll have upwards of 6.37V each.

they where in my parts dept so at room temp the whole time and cart was stored inside

Good, give them a charge and see what they do.

Check the electrolyte level first. If the plates are exposed, only add enough distilled water to cover them.
Fill them to the proper level after they are charged. (If they are worth the effort.)

They will be irreversibly damaged. If they take a charge it will be less than 100%. Their only value is as cores
