Default 2000ezgo pds fault code 0-0. how do you chk micro switch's

I have a 2000 ezgo pds golf cart. golf cart is inoperative with key "On". installed new controller. New Batteries. In Diagnostic mode there are no fault codes. How do you verify the corrective actions? specifically "Verify micro scitch in Pedal Box. and Verify switch is operational in the Direction Selector Forward. and how do you verify the Key switch is operational?

I am getting very frustrated because I kept putting new parts in the golf cart and I am still having the same problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Guessing what is wrong and putting new component after new component in a cart gets expensive and makes the $65 shop tech look cheap.

Obviously your solenoid does not click when you put the key on and press the gas peddle?

You will need a digital voltmeter and a basic understanding of how to use it to perform diagnostic tests on the key switch and peddle box micro...

It would be the shits to find out all you needed was a $5 micro switch

Have you got a meter?

Scottyb is correct, if you did all that for a micro switch man!

A quick way to find out if it will run is pull the floor up open the box and unhook the micro switch and put a jumper between the 2 wires and see if it runs as in this picture.

Check pin 5 on Controller with Run/Tow Switch on Run, F-N-R Switch on Forward, and Key On.

Depress Accelerator Pedal. You should have 36volts ( battery string voltage) on pin 5 if micro operates. If not, check switch or wiring to switch.

That beats the hell out of pulling rusty rocker panel bolts and and grungy floor mats

Put black test lead on the battery pack and probe the pin #5 with the red lead
