I have 8 Deka GC 45 6 volt, 245 amp hour batteries coupled with a DPI charger. They have been great and where I live cheaper then Trojans. I have had them for 2 years.

Re: batteries
There are a dozen or so different brands of deep-cycle batteries that are typically used in golf carts and each brand has up to five grades of deep-cycle batteries ranging from Super-Economy to Super-Premium with the 225AH Standard-Grade near the middle.
Basically, there are more differences between grades within a brand than between the same grade in different brands. Deka is a good brand name, but they come in several grades and the GC-10 has fewer AH than the 225AH standard while the GC-15, GC-25 and GC-45 have more than 225AH. That attached list ranks the highest AH rated batteries at the top and in case of ties, alphabetically by brand name. In general terms, get the highest AH your budget allows in the brand of your choice at the best price you can find locally. Also, think outside the box, I special ordered my batteries through a tractor supply. |

Re: batteries
When I was younger, we'd eat first at my house, then at my buddy's house, and finish at another friend's house. All three parents thought they were the sole source of our meals.

Re: batteries
We have four kids, all in their forties and fifties now, but we must have been feeding at least a dozen when they were in their teens.

Re: batteries
When my kids were in high school my wife would cook enough food for 7 people . But we only had 4 people I ask why she cooked so much , she said because some kids would be at our house after while, and they would go fix therselves a plate! Would'nt change it for anything good memories!

Re: batteries
Back when kids ate at the family table, then played outside all day, without any worries.
