Voltage drops quickly after charge

2010 club car with new batteries. Has been working great. The last time I charged it the voltage starting dropping as soon as the charger stopped. The voltage dropped to about 48 in about an hour and steady dropping, just sitting there. So I unhooked a cable so the batteries didn't discharge too low.

I checked the connections and looked around a little behind the dash. Didn't really see anything.

When I hooked the cable back up the voltage was back up to about 50. It stayed there for a while and started dropping again.

I had been having trouble with my F&R switch. When I would click it into F or R the cart wouldn't move. If I clicked the switch back and forth a few times it would work. I replaced the switch and still have the same problem. Is this related?? I don't know.

I also replaced the MCOR about 6 months ago.

It sounds like you have a high resistance short somewhere.

Ruling out a bad battery, look for something that is staying on such as a fused contact in the solenoid or a shorted resistor across the main solenoid contacts.

Anything that is draining the batteries 2 volts in and hour will be warm to the touch. Carefully feel every component, switch, wires, cables etc.

If nothing is found, the only way would be to isolate each and every 48 volt component one at a time. This will be very time consuming because you will need to disconnect B+ and B- each time. But I think you can find it by process of elimination.
