Default Any precautions you would take before hooking up AllTrax to live voltage first time?

Thanks to Dave at Revolution who got me hooked up with the AllTrax 500A kit. I’m about to hook it up to my pack. Any final precautions anyone would recommend aside from having the run/tow switch on tow and the brakes on?
I sent a photo to Dave of my installation and he approved so I guess I can blame here if it blows up ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Double check everything and jacking up the rear wheels is a insurance policy that it will work as intended.

I would put the rear on jack stands. Just in case.

Ok. Nothing blew up. Strange issue though. When F/R Switch is in reverse, buzzer sounds but cart moves forward. When F/R switch is in Forward, cart moves in reverse.
I triple and quadruple checked my Wiring. I have photos of it if needed. Solenoid engages and fan from the XCT comes on when key switched on.
2014CC Precedent. Has no OBC fwiw.

Any ideas? Did I just ruin a 500 dollar toy? Stupid tax is stupid expensive huh?

If you don't have blocks or jackstands, just chain it tight to a tree. It won't get far.

Mine did same thing. I think the set of instructions I was provided had the small (field wires, 10gauge I think) wires on the motor reversed. I swapped them on the motor because it was easier than pulling batteries and swapping on the controller and it worked correctly. I have been told there were inaccurate instructions from alltrax.

Don’t pay attention to the wire colors in the diagram, follow the leads. F terminals are backwards

Thanks. That was my first thought. On My stock controller orange wire went to F1 and Blue to F2. Hooked them up the same after the AllTrax install. I suppose I’ll reverse them and see if I can get to doing burnouts in the parking lot again.

That will fix the problem, the Altrax diagrams for the IQ/Excel carts are all wrong.

Remember to disconnect the batteries first.
