2006 XRT 800 E no reverse

Hi everyone, I’m a camp host for the state of Oregon at Nehalem Bay. I’m trying to fix several carts and am not having any luck.

1- 2006 Club Car XRT 800E with no reverse. Cart will go forward just fine. If put into reverse buzzer comes on but will not travel in reverse. When put into forward buzzer will not go off and will not ravel forwards. If you flip run/tow switch it will travel forwards and buzzer goes off.

I have cleaned all terminals.

Remove the F&R switch by gently prying outward and removing it from the mounting hole. Un plug all three wires from the back of the switch. They should be Blue/Orange/Brown. Install a jumper (I prefer a small 10 amp blade fuse) between the blue and the orange. The cart should operate normally in reverse. Then try it with the jumper between brown and orange. The cart should operate normally in forward. If vehicle operates normally in both directions, replace the F&R switch. If the vehicle is still having the same issue, replace the controller. I recommend the Alltrax XCT300 controller for this vehicle. It has the regular DS IQ Drive system and the Alltrax will really wake it up and give you a good boost in power. The Alltrax 400 is another option, but you'll have to add heavier cables and a heavier duty solenoid, but then it'll really rip.
