Cool 99 & 81.... to combine or not to

So I've been lurking around for a little bit and have found the info needed to get my feet wet with these things...
I first purchased a near perfect 81 CC 36v resistor cart a few weekends ago. She's near perfect in every way
2017 batteries. New coils and solenoids, new wiring ect. ect. $650 like.
Prior to that. I had spoken with another gentleman about his 99 DS 48v cart. 2016 batteries. Newer 6" Jake's spindle lift. 12" wheels and 22" tires. BUT his daughter wrecked it and bent the daylights out of the frame.
So I bought the 81 initially without hearing back from the 99 guy...well a week later he calls me. Long story short, I picked the 99 up for $500.
So I'm trying to decide now - since my wife is really pushing it! - should I just combine the 2 and make one great cart that I had in it planned on making the 81 into??
Or is there some big hiccup in doing this??
Thoughts please!

Good plan
Be a fun project
Put the 48 v stuff in the 81
Leave the 36 v motor for good speed & tork

Sell the 2017 / 36 v batts before they get old,
To recoup some $$
to buy an electric 48v F/R SW from Scotty

A lot of what you can do depends upon which drive system the 99 has in it.
If it has a Run/Tow switch or more than one (1) solenoid.... your kinda screwed.

Single solenoid. NO tow switch. Simple F/R lever.
Will the 48 volts to the 36 volt motor make it faster than it is now? (The 99 cart)

If it’s the stock motor
YES !!!!

I just put a 36v motor in my 48v 99 DS
Significant speed improvement

If the 81 is in the shape you say it is I would leave it alone. Find a newer frame and use that. Maybe you can find one and it will have the newer steering etc. you are going to probably need anyway.

Don't know where you're located, but I have two 1999 DS Electric frames I need to get rid of. There's nothing wrong with either one of them.
