Noise from NEW MOT-A1 motor
Put the new motor about 3 days ago, have been driving around.
Today when i went to leave for work, the motor was buzzing, (or sounding like scraping). its when i accelerate, not coasting. ANY CLUES??? |

Give it a few days for the brushes to fully seat (they start off flat) and then see if it is better. If it is still doing it after that, it may need a centering kit, baring any other unforeseen problem..

This shouldn't happen with a new Admiral motor. It sounds like the armature is dragging on the field coil. I've seen this once before with an Admiral motor and it was covered under warranty. Contact whoever you bought it from and have them file a warranty claim through RedHawk. Those motors come with a 1 year warranty.
