Default 215/50-12 on Precedent

How much lift is necessary to fit these? I know most tire sites say 3”, but I want to stay away from too big a gap in the wheel well.
I’m a little worried about the ride quality of a 215/40-12.

A 215/40-12 profile tire is all you can fit without modifying:

To go to a 50 profile would involve a 1" block up front and some trimming of the fender trim on the rear.

I use my 215/40-12 almost exclusively on pavement and it rides good.

You also need a negative offset on the rims (the stock rims are centered) so the front passenger tire does not rub on a tight turn , I have a ET-12 which is equivalent to 3+4 offset.

Thank you Sergio.
This cart is used on the golf course. The wheels are 12x7 with a 3:4 offset.
I’m just trying to keep the look of the wheel tucked in with a balance of comfort on the course.

Thank you.

I have decided on a 12" wheel for mine. I too will almost exclusively pavement. I was set on a 50 series tire, and a 3" all-sports lift. I want as much sidewall as possible w/o rubbing. How much taller could I go?

That’s a good question, I don’t think anyone wants to answer here.

Thank you. I’m leaning towards that. I’ve been on all the websites, just thought I’d ask for others experience.
