Motor replacement/ FN Key
06 club car precedent with 4 12s. Alltrax 500 controller.
From the research I've done, When I purchase a new motor I am sent the Field map for it. I can either get a torque field map or a speed map. So Alltrax has the FN Key with 3 modes. It says basically either golf course, Speed or torque. So that is for whichever map I choose correct? Like if I choose the torque setting on the speed map all I am going to get is the speed map's maximum torque? OR Does the FN Key switch between the 2 maps? Torque and speed? I'm kind of confusing myself as I type. |

Re: Motor replacement/ FN Key
The Field map is provided by Alltrax and they have some custom maps and some generic maps.
Some "Torque" motors have two different Field Maps available from Alltrax, one biased for torque and one for speed. Most motors have a single Filed map available. The FN key simply adjusts parameters for Armature amps (Motoring and Regen ) and speed limits, it does not switch field maps. You can configure three different User Modes in the Alltrax software and use the FN key to switch between them. A lot more info in this link: https://alltraxinc.com/fn-function-control-box/ |

Re: Motor replacement/ FN Key
I'd like to keep it simple. Can I just add the FN controller that just controls the speed? It's an xtc500 controller.
So I can keep my girls safe. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |

Just program one of the settings for low speed so all it takes is a simple toggle of the switch to go into a low speed mode with extra Regen brake if you want. The FN1 switch is for Series Controllers, not the XCT |
