Used/Rebuilt Shunt Wound Motor 2003 Club Car DS
Hello Friends:
I need to have the motor replaced on a 2003 Club Car DS (I think - see serial number below). My local cart place said for a new one it would be $600 + $100 installation. However, he said he would install a used one for me for $100 if I found the motor and paid for it. He then told me that I needed to look for a "Shunt Wound Motor" and gave me a set of numbers DND 17052-0007. I have found some shunt wound motors but nothing that associates with these numbers or a 2003 Club Car. I did find some motors that seem to be the right one for my cart on ebay, in the price range I am hoping to pay but don't want to order one if it isn't going to work right. GC Serial number is attached as well as the motors on ebay. I really appreciate your help! Pepe |

You need a regen motor with a speed sensor. They are easily identified by a wire coming out of the end case. It is likely a ten spline, as all Club Cars are.
It is also not extremely difficult to install yourself… |
