Now weare getting somewhere, the cart has two solenoids. Unhook negative battery cable, then take the cables on the drivers side solenoid and put both on the same big post. This will by pass the solenoid and allow the cart to run correctly.

What is happening is the driver side solenoid is bad and the cart is trying to run using the coil on the solenoid to carry the power, it is not heavy enough to so you get weak power to the motor.

Btw unhook the speed sensor or the motor braking will be very strong.

If this works like I think it will it proves the drivers side solenoid is either bad or the activation circurit is bad.

Mr golf, to be clear does it matter which side he uses? And what about the small wires?

Makes no difference which side. If you are not going to replace the solenoid the small wires can be removed from the cart. In that case you can take the cable that comes from the controller and go to the motor with it.

kantuckian, I did the procedure mrgolf described above on my own cart tonight. Took about 30 minutes. I left the white wire on the motor and ran it to where the other white wire went to the controller.

Cart is a LOT faster now!
