Backhoe tires are a bi%^&! I have seen them done and it is not pretty. Do all my own here. [Don't own a backhoe.] Picked up a Coats 5050 rim clamp a couple of years ago for anything up to 20", and made adapters to clamp rims down to 6". For tractor tires, [unloaded], I just break the bead with the loader and bar them off [or on]. Big tires are often easier than small ones as long as you are equipped to deal with the sheer weight.

If you have a tire shop nearby (I like Discount Tire) take them there and let them do it. Especially if you don't have the right stuff and don't do this sort of thing very often.
I would rather change a truck tire than a small one on a riding mower or a golf cart. |
