Default No No's Yamaha Issues

Yes, now I'm getting a flow of Yamahas to work on. There is a guy that adjusted his governor and got more speed out of it. JF2 301967, which I was told is a 1993 G8. Anyway, he hasn't blow it up YET but he did go screwing with the fuel-air mixture on the carburetor. Since it's a G8, I'm guessing it has the 285. Could someone inform me about these a little bit?

THANKS! :)
