g9 vanguard mount

im in need of a mount to put an 18hp vanguard in my g9 where can i get one can someon send me pics and mayb measurements incase i have to make one thanks alot

Clayboy made a nice one for his G9 and I'm pretty sure TheNewGuy can point you in the right direction as far as purchasing one. I'm pretty sure he has pic's of his also.

ya clayboys looked good but he said it doesnt line the clutches up good i was going to buy his motor but found a new one on ebay for about the same price

made4mudd, If you can't find a mount, I might be able to help you out a little. It will be a few weeks (get some time off around Christmas) but when I get my 18 out of the cart I can fab you one to start with. You would have to drill the final mounting holes to line the engine and clutch up properly. I can't wait for you to get you engine and look at the throttle hook-up, (we will be talking then anyway

). Let me know what you need.

This is what is looks like. I don't have dimensions. The parts in the
foreground are for lowering the front of thr swing arm, you don't need
to do this if you have a minimum of a 3" lift. You can purchase this mount
at http://www.cartpartsplus.com/ but it won't be cheap!!

If you buy this from Tom (the kit guy) he will want big bucks cause he
wants to sell the entire kit not just the mount. The mount is where he
spent time to develope. As you can see the mount is simple.

im gunna call him and talk with him see if i can get him to sell me one he doesnt want to sell just the mount so ill call and talk to him about it for awhile thanks for the pics guys and clayboy i may take you up on that offer ill let u know ill pay you for more than just materials if you can do it soon how much are materials?

Here are some pictures of what worked for me.
Throttle hook-up and exhaust manifold.

You can see here how my oil filter is mounted different than yours.

It's tight in there!
