![]() i just picked up a 96 g16 gas. i am gonna be using it around the pits at tractor pulls to carry 4 people, weights, and coolers full of ice. is the stock suspension enough for this? do i want to invest in a lift kit? stiffer springs? Just trying to make sure it will handle the load. Load wont be more then 4 grown men on it at once

![]() usually people go with stiffer rear springs, or a collar install on the rear springs

![]() Stiffer springs will be needed. A lift kit will allow you more ground clearance and the ability to run larger tires.
You will also want to invest in the power train to help with more power. A clone engine or V twin upgrade would be great for that, but a performance secondary clutch might do well with a good running stock engine. Clutch and belt condition will be key. |
