![]() My brake is weak and needs to be pushed almost to the floor to stop.
I want to adjust and looking for a bit of info before I start. Guessing the gurus here know how to do it. Just trying to learn. Is the adjustment on the wheel of elsewhere? |

![]() Under the floor mat is not the correct way, for the long term. I suggest disconnecting the cable at each wheel, then "ratchet" the brake lever until no more automatic adjustment is happening. Do this at both sides. Then loosen cables at the pedal, reattach cables at wheels, adjust pedal until you have about 1.25" pedal free play.
Just adjusting at the pedal alone will eventually change the geometry inside the brakes themselves, reducing their effectiveness. When you get the brakes adjusted properly, the change in brake feel (and effort required) will be shocking, in a good way. |

![]() You tube is wrong. A good golf car Tech, will rarely adjust the brake cable, (exception 07-14 Yamaha, even then its rare).
Ive watched a bunch of you tube videos of adjusting golf car brakes, not one was correct. The best was all you had to use was windex....yeah, check it out. |
