![]() First of all hello to everyone,I have a 98 EZ GO that the batteries were completely dead when I bought it.(It had been sitting in a barn for about three years). Well when I charged it up it runs in forward and it runs in forward when selector is in reverse. I have no reverse. Any help would be appreciated. I have been searching but can't find anything

![]() So it runs forward when the F/R switch is in reverse but will not run in reverse when the F/R switch is in forward? Just trying to clarify.

![]() It runs in forward only no matter where the F/R is. It will go to neutral.

![]() Luckily the speed controller has no bearing on reverse on your car, it only controls output.
So your problem should be limited to: 1.) motor 2.) incorrect wiring 3.) faulty direction selector |

![]() Motor is a pretty unlikely problem.
I just had a more likely thought while watching t.v. and randomly thinking. Is your car a series or DCS. (A series has a long bar going from the f/r handle to in front of the controller to a mechanical selector). The DCS has a handle that directly alters to microswitches directly behind it. If your car is DCS then I can almost certainly tell you one of those microswitches are bad. It will be the one that is only triggered in reverse. |

![]() I would say no. I have a 95 like that, but the 96 has a rotating cam like lever with both limit switches.
